Sept. 9 – Yandex, Russia’s most used search engine, started offering a bank services search yesterday. The new service allows internet users to find the most comprehensive banks, Russian daily Vedomosti reports.
“The service allows users to find deposits with the greatest interest rates, as well as consumer loans and mortgages with optimum conditions for the potential clients,” said Ochir Mandzhikov, Yandex official representative.
Yandex’s database now has 78 banks including from which inhabitants of 1,265 Russian and Ukrainian cities can pick up and choose a particular loan or open up a bank account.
Furthermore, customers can calculate the potential bank deposit income in accordance with the Russian and Ukrainian tax legislation.
According to a statement placed online, Yandex is inviting banks from Kazakhstan and Belarus as well. “The new service will be free of charge for both banks and users,” Mandzhikov said.
Experts are guessing that the new service might improve banking accessibility for citizens.
